Project Grace

The sea to cleanse the heart
7 days of healing with Project Grace

Project Grace, in collaboration with Endless Blue, is excited to announce a spring memorial trip to the Greek Isles. We are looking for six women to join us as we sail to remote islands of Greece and honor lost loved ones.

Along with taking in the beauty of the Aegean and the history of Greece, we’ll volunteer with local children, spend time with Greek women who have suffered loss, visit Greek burial grounds to see the various dedications to children, and learn about the traditional Greek mourning rituals. Our evenings will be spent together as a group, dining on seafood and traditional Greek faire, and sharing stories.

Project Grace, a program of CorStone, brings together people who share a common loss for the purpose of both honoring their loved one and providing real, tangible aid to a community or population in need. By providing a compassionate, non-judgmental environment, we support our participants to find strength, comfort and community. Common ground is reached through peer support, cross-cultural sharing, and service to others.

For over twenty years, Endless Blue has provided to its clients unique nautical experiences and unforgettable memories. Endless Blue leverages the sea to cleanse the heart, open the mind and provide a bridge to connect individuals with other cultures of the world. For many Endless Blue clients, their travels through the Greek Islands have been life-changing experiences.

The dates of the trip are April 29-May 7, 2010. The cost of the trip is $2,600/person. The cost includes one night in Athens, six nights on a sailboat with a crew of 3 (including a cook), beverages, wines, fuel, mooring fees, and taxes. Airfare, some meals, and gratuity are not included in the cost of the trip.

While this particular trip is designed for women, Project Grace offers other memorial trips for fathers, siblings, spouses and families grieving a loss. Visit us at www.project-grace.org or watch our videos at www.youtube.com/projectgrace1.

If you are interested in joining us, we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to e-mail or call one of us. We are happy to share more about ourselves and give you more details about this exciting adventure.
