What to bring for your trip to Greece
Lots of Suntan Lotion, hats and sandles
What clothing should I bring?
In Summer the weather can be very hot during the day and the evenings are sometimes cooler. Many of the islands are windy in the evening, so always bring a windbreaker or tracksuit to keep you warm while relaxing on deck at night.
Generally, island lifestyle is stylish yet casual. You will need your beach wear, something smart-casual for dinners and whatever you normally wear to bars or nightclubs.
Don’t forget any medication you may require while traveling and your protective beachwear and sunscreens.
Will my cell phone work?
Greece operates on a GSM network, so most cell phones work. USA cell phones will not work unless they are tri-band.
Do the boats have electricity?
Not all boats have electricity. Some have generators with 220volt power and others have shore-line power capability that connects to the marina, however not all marinas offer shore power. We also advise that you are conservative with your battery usage.
If you are sailing in a vessel that has electricity please bring a converter to change your voltage system to our 220 volts and an adaptor that changes your electrical plug to the European 2-prong. This is important, otherwise it can damage the vessel.
Do you provide bed linen?
We provide sheets, pillows, pillowcases and blankets for all.
Do you provide towels?
We provide one bath towel per person per week. Please bring your own beach towels.
What money is accepted in Greece?
Euros are accepted throughout Greece. MasterCard and Visa are accepted more commonly than other credit cards.
It is always a good idea to have cash on you, when you pop into small gift stores.
There are also ATM machines at all larger island ports
