Sailing Itineraries
Beaches, bars, resturants and more
Can I design my own itinerary or do you have set programs?
We will work with you to design an itinerary based on they type of vacation you desire. We offer you suggestions, recommendations and tips for your vacation based on what we have learned through years of experience.
Once you are on board and comfortable with your vessel, your skipper will also offer you his personal suggestions based on his knowledge and of course the weather forecast at that time. All itineraries are subject to weather conditions and the skipper's agreement.
What does Endless Blue advise for an itinerary?
A common mis-conception of the Greek islands is that they are all very close and a one week sailing itinerary can involve Crete, Santorini, Rhodes and Mykonos. Unfortunately this is not the case.
We ask our clients to trust our advice when we advise a specific program such as the saronic islands for a seven day itinerary in summer. Our port captain has over 20 years sailing experience in Greek waters, he and his team constantly update the yachting representatives of changing weather patterns, islands that are too windy to approach, areas that are dangerous to travel, distances that are too long for inexperienced sailors and more.
This sometimes means that you cannot always sail to the islands that you had initially in mind but we will definitely provide you with an alternative which is eveybit as beautiful and possibly even better!
Can an itinerary be changed mid-way?
Yes, you are free to discuss program diversions with your skipper during your trip. We have clients that have liked a certain place so much that they spent the remainder of their itinerary in one location - that is the beauty of sailing!!
Your skipper may also suggest different areas and great spots that may have not been mentioned previously as all of our skipper's are locals and know the areas well.
Again, all itineraries are subject to weather conditions and the captain's agreement.
Is it common to go to more than one island on a given day?
Yes you can see more than one but we often suggest that you don’t see Greece in a rush as seeing a great number of islands does not necessarily mean you have experienced the real Greece. Things generally run at a slower pace in Greece and remember you are also on vacation!
How long does it take to get from place to place?
This depends on your tinerary and the weather during your time of travel. Your skipper will advise you of travel times as you discuss your program together. When creating itineraries our recommendation is usually a 2-3 hours sailing with a break for a swim, lunch or a evening out on the island.
My family would like to see some greener islands of Greece – something with a difference?
The Greek islands offer much more than little white houses, colourful balconies and paved narrow streets.
The more northern islands offer lush greenery, dolphins, marine conservations, sea turtles and wild flowers.
The Argo-saronic islands are a wonderful mix of history, mainland Pelopponnese, cosmopolitain lifestyle and deep blue waters.
The Ionian is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches, nature and architecture.
Take a look at our itineraries for some detailed programs on the various islands Greece offers.
I’ve always wanted to see Santorini and Mykonos but my itinerary is based in a different region – what can I do?
That’s not a problem, once you return from sailing we can arrange an immediate flight or fast ferry over to any of these islands where you can spend a couple of days in a hotel. Its what we call our sailing/land based vacation – you get the best of both worlds!
